Question by atorabletor: Comparative Politics AP Class?
I am extremely interested in Comparative politics, however, my school doesn’t offer it as a class. I’m thinking about self studying it during senior year. Has anyone taken it, if so, what were your thoughts?

If you are extremely interested in comparative politics, you should do it. But then self studying an entire semester or two worth of courseload might be a lot especially if you plan to take other AP classes. I took US Govt. And Politics yesterday and I thought it was pretty easy.
That being said, proceed with caution b/c you might lose your tempo and might find yourself in stress right before the AP exam.

CRIC resarchers Prof. Karl-Siegbert Rehberg and historian, Matthias Neutzner explain how the memory of the bombing of Dresden on the 13th of February 1945 has been affected by political instrumentalisation from the aftermath of war until the present day. The anniversary has been instrumentalised by the national socialst propaganda, by the GDR government and by different social movements. The political use of history strenghtened the symbolic meaning of Dresden. The memorial culture changed through time and influenced the reconstruction efforts before and after 1990 in Dresden, especially the reconstruction of the Frauenkirche. As Carsten Paludan-Müller and Dr. Marie-Louise Stig Sorensen of the University of Cambridge point out, the Dresden case gives insight into the way perceptions of cultural heritage can affect the construction of history and identity. Question by Molly: Are the old media elites losing their political clout?
The new influencers seem to be passionate, well informed, conservative and feisty political commentators like Beck, Limbaugh, Hannity and Levin and so on. The old elites in the old media outlet are having a hard time coping and propping up their corrupt socialist pals in Washington. Americans have tuned out the liberal media elites who are reduced to merely talking to themselves!
